My name is Sanjib Gurung. I born in remote village in Himalaya which is close to Mt. Makalu 8463m eastern part of Nepal. I finished my school level in 2003 & finished my high school in 2007. Between high school period I came to Katmandu than start to work tourism line. My 1st Trekking was Chulu far east peak 2006 as a Porter. I work as Porter, Kitchen staff, Assistant Guide, Porter Guide and Now Trekking and Mountaineering Guide from Trip Himalaya Trek & Expedition (P) LTD. since 2006. Also, I do Mt. Biking Guide and canyoning Guide too

I have been involving in the tourism field for 2006. I started his early career as a porter in 2006 at his 20’s with a climbing team for Chulu Far East. As a keen in travelling and exploring new destinations, I love nature from childhood. I obtained Trekking Guide license in 2011, Basic Mountaineering Training 2012, Rock Climbing Course Level one in 2013 and Advance mountaineering Training 2014. I have successfully guided hundreds of western trekkers from Europe and America to all the popular trekking regions of Nepal except Api and Saipal trek. I had completed Great Himalaya Trail (GHT) high route in 89 Days with Swiss Client Maria Theresia Zwyssig in 2019.

I am associated with Trip Himalayas Treks and expeditions as a Guide and Mountaineering guide for over decades. I am Central Executive Board Member (2017-2020) of Nepal Mountaineering Association (www.nepalmountaineering.org/).
